Mayfield Classification for Perilunar Instability
Stage I	Scapholunate joint disruption. Causes scapholunate dissociation.
Stage II	Capitolunate joint disruption. Capitate dislocation occurs usually dorsally (PLD).
Stage III	Triquetrolunate joint disruption.
Stage IV	Radiolunate joint disruption. Lunate dislocation occurs usually volarly (LD). Lateral views can demonstrate a ‘spilled teacup’ sign. PA views can demonstrate a ‘piece of pie’ sign.
