When the above article was first published online, there were couple of errors which are explained and modified below

  1. The caption of Table 5 was incorrectly framed as ‘Multiple logistic regression analysis of factors independently associated with substantial and chronic fatigue’ which has to be corrected ‘Multiple logistic regression analysis of factors independently associated with chronic fatigue’ and

  2. The text under Discussion section beginning with ‘Our results showed lower fatigue scores in women than in men, but female sex could not be identified as an independent factor for fatigue. This replicates the results of Graff et al. [18] but contrasts the findings of Romberg-Camps et al. [19] In the multiple regression analyses, anxiety in UC was significantly associated with fatigue.’ should be modified as ‘Our results showed higher fatigue scores in women than in men, but female sex could not be identified as independent factor for fatigue. This replicates the results of Graff et al. [18] but contrast the the findings of Romberg-Camps et al. [19]. In the multiple regression analysis, anxiety in UC was significantly associated with fatigue. Single living in UC showed a trend to be associated with chronic fatigue.’
