Abstract

This study focuses on the impact of parabolic motion on unsteady free convective MHD nanofluid flow through a permeable medium. Effects of chemical reactions, heat generation and thermal radiation are also considered. Using similarity transformation, the governing equations are transformed into dimensionless form and generalised using the Caputo fractional order derivative. For solving the dimensionless equations, a suitable Laplace transform technique is applied and obtained the analytical expression. To understand the physical aspects of these problems, approximation results are defined using MATLAB software and presented the effects of different physical parameters on concentration, velocity and temperature profiles through graphs. From the results, it is concluded that a magnetic field tends to diminish the motion of fluid whereas thermal radiation and heat generation tend to improve the momentum of flow. It is also seen that heat transfer process increases due to the increasing values of radiation and heat generation.
