ABSTRACT

Using double diffusion Sutterby nanofluid flow helps in examining the influences of memory of the thermal and concentration fields rather than the classical formulations of the heat and mass situations. This paper aims to study the heat and mass transfer through a stagnation point flow using the Sutterby non-Newtonian nanofluids. Various types of the nanofluids are applied, namely, tri nanofluids (CuOAl2O3Ag/Eg), hybrid nanofluids (CuOAl2O3/Eg) and mono nanofluids (CuO/ Eg). Also, the considered surface is stretching, vertical and has convective boundary conditions. Impacts of the Lorentz force together with the viscous dissipation are examined. The solution methodology is based on various similar transformations and shooting technique. It is noted that Deborah number De enhances the skin friction coefficient and decreases the Nusselt number for stagnation or regular flow cases. Also, the Sherwood number is augmented by 11.12% and 4.38% in case of tri nanofluids comparing to the case of mono nanofluids and hybrid nanofluids, respectively. Thus, the unique characteristics of each individual nanoparticle in the ternary mixture have a contributing effect on the enhanced thermophysical properties of the ternary hybrid nanofluid. Solar energy and photovoltaic thermal collectors are two uses for ternary nanofluids among other uses.
