Dear Colleagues,

We were so pleased to welcome everyone to the supplement for the 19th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP), which took place April 24–26, 2023. This year’s meeting theme, Patients First, explored the patient journey through the development lifecycle of medicines and partnership opportunities to leverage their experiences and insights to maximize healthcare outcomes. The program featured multiple patient advocate speakers and cutting-edge topics, such as generative AI.

We are extremely pleased to share that ISMPP member engagement remains high. Eight-five abstract submissions were received on topics including patient authorship; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI); artificial intelligence; and enhanced content.

Member research was featured throughout the program via three oral presentations, 71 posters, and three poster tours.

Thirty-two member-driven session proposals were also received and invited to be part of the program. As a result, we were excited to yet again present an Annual Meeting agenda that reflected what members have indicated is of high interest, continuing the strong collaboration between the Program Committee and our membership.

This supplement represents our fifteenth collaboration with Current Medical Research & Opinion (CMRO) and includes abstracts presented either as oral or poster presentations during the 19th Annual Meeting of ISMPP and the 2023 European Meeting of ISMPP, Fueling Creativity, January 24–25. ISMPP is grateful to the publishers of CMRO for their continued support of our Society and its initiatives.

Sincerely,

Tom Drake Chair, Annual Meeting Program Committee, Director, Global Outcomes Research
