Michel Wieviorka is Professor (Directeur d’études) at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales; former Director of the Centre for Sociological Analysis and Intervention (CADIS); member of the Editorial Committees of Ethnic and Racial Studies; Ethnic and Migration Studies; Critical Horizons; International Review of Sociology. His last book: Evil: A Sociological perspective, Polity Press, 2012. Professor Wieviorka served as President of the International Sociological Association in 2010
