When the above article was published, the authors regret that lines 3‒7, on page 46 should have read as follows:

Furthermore, medetomidine, a compound currently being developed as an environmentally sustainable antifouling agent (Lenquist et al. 2010), interferes with larval settlement in S. clava, with a 50% effective concentration of 3.8 μg ml−1 (Willis & Woods 2011).
