Risk factors of gestational diabetes mellitus during assisted reproductive technology procedures

Abstract

To investigate risk factors of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) during assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures. A total of 1022 patients were included in this retrospective cohort study from January 1, 2014 to August 31, 2017. While patients were divided into two groups: the non- GDM group and the GDM group. There was no significant difference in basal FSH, AFC, infertility years, gestational age, number of fetus, method of fertilization, and reason of infertility between the two groups. However, age, BMI, and fresh cycle were verified to be association with GDM by using logistic regression model. During the process of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH), estradiol (E₂) was significantly lower in the GDM group. The incidence of GDM was highest when E₂ level less than 200 pg/mL of per oocyte. Our study showed maternal fundamental factors had greater impacts on subsequent GDM.

目的是探讨在辅助生殖技术（ART）过程中妊娠期糖尿病（GDM）的危险因素。本项回顾性队列研究, 纳入从2014年1月1日至2017年8月1日期间, 共1022名患者。将患者分为两组：非GDM组和GDM组。基线FSH、AFC、不孕年限、孕龄、妊娠次数、受精方式、不孕原因, 两组比较无统计学差异。然而年龄、BMI和新鲜移植周期通过logistic回归模型证实与GDM相关。在控制性超促排卵（COH）过程中, GDM组的雌二醇明显降低。E2水平低于200pg/ml时, GDM发生率最高。该研究表明, 母亲的基本因素与GDM的发生有较大的影响。
