Meghan Koza is a master’s student in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Sam Houston State University and will start the Ph.D. program in criminal justice at Sam Houston in the fall of 2024. Meghan’s current research interests include alternative justice mechanisms, criminal policy, and various approaches to prison reformation.

Michael S. Vaughn is a professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Sam Houston State University, where he directs the Institute for Legal Studies in Criminal Justice. He conducts research on legal issues within the criminal justice system.
