Frozen Shoulder: A Review Of Causation, Prognosis and Treatment

Abstract

There is still much to learn about the frozen shoulder syndrome, for which the terms periarthritis and adhesive capsulitis have been used in the past. The literature is marred by too many studies without the benefit of control and randomization, but progress has been made in the understanding and treatment of the condition even though the underlying mechanism remains unknown.
