Abstract

We congratulate Miranda Rose for bringing together theory, research and clinical application of one of the most exciting recent developments in cognitive neuroscience, namely, the joint investigation of motor and language processing. We review briefly the historical development of this line of research, and then comment on one aspect of the related theory, namely, the use of lexical and sub-lexical strategies in the processing of words and action units. Finally, we add a few complementary comments to Rose's recommendations to clinicians.
