ABSTRACT

Binge drinking is still an issue among adolescents. The current study applies the theories of low self-control, social learning theory, and social bond theory to adolescent binge drinking. The data for this study comes from the 2011 Monitoring the Future Survey form two that is a nationally representative sample. The study found support for low self-control and social bond theory (i.e., definitions). The researchers also provide appropriate policy implications.
