This article refers to:
The impact of tinnitus upon cognition in adults: A systematic review

Susan Tegg-Quinn, Rebecca J. Bennett, Robert H. Eikelboom & David M. Baguley. 2016. The impact of tinnitus upon cognition in adults: A systematic

Review. International Journal of Audiology. Online 31 May 2016. http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/14992027.2016.1185168.

When the above article was first published online, there was an error in the paper.

Paul et al (2014) did in fact report both the mean ages and age range of the tinnitus and control groups in their study. While the 500Hz and control groups were closely matched for mean years there was a 20 year difference in the age ranges. The 500Hz tinnitus and control groups were closely matched for the mean 500Hz threshold but greater differences were noted at 1,2 and 5kHz. The 5kHz tinnitus and control groups were more closely matched for audiometric thresholds but less closely matched for age.

This has now been corrected in both the print and online versions to International Journal of Audiology.

The authors apologise for this error.
