Dark field optical investigations of magneto-electric interactions in yttrium-iron-garnet films

Abstract

Using dark-field microscopy and direct visual observations, we investigated the peculiarities of the response of micromagnetic structural elements within the domain structure of ferrite-garnet films to external electric field influences. We identified effects such as changes in contrast and spatial localization of individual segments of domain boundaries under the combined influence of magnetic and electric fields.
