Abstract
This article examines two disaster and emergency response electronic resources for mobile devices, Wireless Information System for Emergency Responders (WISER) and Radiation Event Medical Management (REMM). Both, developed and maintained by the National Library of Medicine (NLM), are designed primarily for responding to mass casualty incidents. While both resources utilize similar technology and run on similar platforms (both standalone and Web-based), each has a different purpose and serves a different audience. This paper discusses and evaluates the available versions for each application.
