There is an error in the abstract regarding the normal reference ranges of plasma homocysteine and methylmalonic acid levels. Normal ranges are <15 µmol/L for homocysteine and <0.5 µmol/L for methylmalonic acid, as opposed as >15 µmol/L and >0.5 µmol/L mentioned in the text.
