I am delighted to present to you our special focus issue on “Women in Drug Discovery“. This issue was a long time coming celebrating the contributions of several leading women in the field of drug discovery who have helped to move their respective fields forward and provide significant contributions to the literature. This issue covers several different areas of drug discovery from chemoinformatic studies to animal models of Alzheimer’s disease and how these models have impacted drug discovery and development.
It is our hope that this issue will both be of great interest to our readers through the subjects covered but hope that it will also help to inspire the next generation of female research scientists to make their mark in drug discovery and continue to make wonderful contributions in the future.
