Peter Milgrom

Peter Milgrom, DDS, is an emeritus professor in the department of oral health sciences at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry. He received his dental degree in 1972 from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Milgrom cofounded the Dental Fears Research Clinic at the University of Washington and has conducted research on behavioral and pharmacological treatment of patients for dental anxiety for more than 30 years. In 2012, the American Dental Association awarded Dr. Milgrom the Norton Ross Award for Excellence in Clinical Research. He is the senior author of Treating Dental Fear Patients: A Patient Management Handbook, now in its third edition, and has published more than 325 research papers.
