1. These 6-Ws are: (1) What types of neurotechnology are currently available, and what are defined benefits, risks and harms? (2) Why are specific neurotechnologies considered in this particular case? (3) Who shall receive the intervention? (4) When will the intervention be considered within the clinical care plan? (5) Where will the neurotechnology be administered? (6) Which funding and mechanisms and resources will support continued study and care?

2. The 6-Cs are: (1) capacities and limitations of the neurotechnology; (2) consequences incurred by patients (and their families and society); (3) character of the intervention, and of the patient as affected by the treatment; (4) continuity of clinical care (and study) to address any undesirable effects resulting from the intervention; (5) contexts of culture that influence need/desire for, use and outcomes of the intervention; (6) consent, as based upon fullest extent of information available.
