Notes

1 Originally, the four teams did not only differ in their operationalization of the constructs but also in their general analytical approach (e.g., simple regressions vs. multilevel models) and their choice of covariates (e.g., SES and GDP vs. gender, age, SES, education, and GDP; for an overview, see Supplementary Table S1). However, re-analyses using the same statistical models (i.e., multilevel models) and the same covariates (i.e., gender, age, socioeconomic status, GDP) as reported here showed that the operationalization of global well-being (including its facets) is primarily responsible for the different result pattern regarding the facet physical well-being.
