Abstract
Co-Fe-Prussian blue analogue (Co-Fe-PBA) is developed as a reusable nano catalyst and characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, and BET SA-PSD methods. It is used for the thiocyanation of aromatic and hetero aromatic compounds in presence of NH4SCN under acid free solvothermal and solvent-free conditions. Observed Reaction times are dramatically reduced from solvothermal (15 to 20 hr) to sonication reactions (25 to 40 min), which are further reduced in mortar-pestle grinding (8 to 10 min) and in microwave assisted (4 to 7 min) protocols. Reaction products are confirmed by the well-established spectroscopic methods. Rate accelerations from solvothermal to greenery Sonication, microwave, and Mortar-Pestle grinding are explained suitably.
