A concern has been raised by a reader of the journal, Immunopharmacology and Immunotoxicology, regarding specific values that were published in the article “Saliva Secretory IgA Antibodies Against Molds and Mycotoxins in Patients Exposed to Toxigenic Fungi,” contained in volume 25, issue 4, pp 595–614, 2003.
There appears to be discrepencies in values printed in Tables 3 and 4 in that publication, when compared with these values presented in Tables 3 and 4 contained in a patent application publication.
Although our reviewers attempt to be accurate in their evaluation of manuscripts submitted to our Journal, a situation such as this occurs due to the availability of pertinent references to the reviewers. In this case several values differ in the publication compared with those in the patent application publication, which was made available to us by the reader.
