The Search for Evidence-Based Addiction Practice in the United Kingdom

ABSTRACT

This paper examines the case for evidence-based practice and its application to social work. Developments in evidence-based practice in the field of substance misuse treatment that are of particular interest to social workers, such as Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), and Social Be havior and Network Therapy (SBNT) are described.
