Abstract
Allergic skin reactions are prevalent worldwide. The aim of this review is to highlight allergic skin reactions that are prevalent i the n tropical areas. Geographical variation in allergic skin reactions occurs due to variation in climate and environment, economic status, cultural practices, (infectious) disease prevalence, genetics, and drug availability and use. This review discusses differences in disease prevalence throughout various geographical areas. Treatment options vary according to local practice, affordability and availability.
