Abstract

Different etiological factors, bacteriological, meteorological, environmental and others, are mentioned, but no single one seems to be decisive.

The possibility of a sudden increase of the respiratory stridor in the more common cases and the more severe difficulties of maintaining adequate breathing in dangerous laryngo-tracheo-bronchitis are pointed out.

Finally the treatment is discussed, with evaluation of the effect or non-effect of various means and agents.
