Abstract
We report an unusual case of total blindness with significant recovery of vision, secondary to ischaemic changes in the optic nerves at the end and immediately following pregnancy in a previously healthy woman. At the acute stage, funduscopy revealed disc oedema, followed by pallor developing within a few weeks, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings consistent with acute ischaemia of the optic nerves.
