In the above article, the affiliation of the three authors was specified incorrectly. The study was planned, conducted and evaluated at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin, Germany. Ullrich Meier is Professor and Chairman of this department. All patients joining this study were exclusively treated at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin, Germany.

In the above case study, the authors wish to clarify the abstract's opening sentence. The correctly worded sentence is presented below.

Although existing literature includes reports of isolated lower extremity monoparesis/monoplegia (MP) due to epidural or subdural haematomas, instances due to traumatic intraparenchymal contusions near the vertex have not been described.
