ABSTRACT

Aims: The Fitness-to-Drive Screening Measure (FTDS) enables a proxy rater, such as a family member, to identify at-risk older drivers. This study addressed user evaluation of the web-based FTDS including the keyform (summary page) and recommendations. Methods: Eight participants reviewed the refined web-based measure, and rated the clarity, usefulness, understandability, and meaningfulness of the FTDS. We captured participants’ comments on the FTDS along with visual analog scale (VAS) ratings. Results: Overall, participants positively rated the FTDS as user-friendly, useful, and acceptable; an evaluation supported by the VAS rating (mean = 9.13, SD ± 1.10). Conclusions: Future research will include monitoring end-user satisfaction via an anonymous on-line survey.
