In recognition of the high standard of papers submitted to the Scandinavian Journal of Primary Health Care, the editorial board in collaboration with the Nordic Federation of General Practice and the Nordic Congress of General Practice proudly announce the Paper of the Year Award 2013 and 2014. Candidates will be selected among all first authors of papers published in the Scandinavian Journal of Primary Health Care in 2013 and 2014.
All members of the Nordic colleges are encouraged to nominate papers and to send nominations to their own national college. Based on these nominations, each Nordic college will then nominate four candidates.
In May 2015, the two winners will be contacted directly by the Scandinavian Journal of Primary Health Care.
Important deadlines
Deadline for members to send in nominations to Nordic colleges: 1st February 2015.
Deadline for Nordic colleges to send in nominations to the editorial board: 15th March 2015.

The final decision of who is going to be awarded Paper of the Year is judged by the full editorial board of the Scandinavian Journal of Primary Health Care. A specific focus is put on explicit criteria: Impact, Application, Usability, Dissemination, Originality, Methods, and Presentation.
The winning papers will be granted participation free of charge at the Nordic Congress of General Practice in Gothenburg in June 2015, and will be given a specific time slot in order to present the winning paper and the research it constitutes. The two award winners will also be invited to participate in the Scandinavian Journal of Primary Health Care Symposium at the Nordic Congress in Gothenburg.
