  • Comparing FK-506 with Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor (b-FGF) on the Repair of a Peripheral Nerve Defect Using an Autogenous Vein Bridge Model. Chaiyasate, Kongkrit, et al.

    Page 402, Materials and Methods, Rats and Treatments.

    First paragraph, the last sentence should read as follows:

    “All surgical procedures and subsequent evaluations were performed under anesthesia using intramuscularly administered Ketamine HCl (100 mg/dl) and supported by 1.5–2.0%% isofluorane masking.”

    “The animals died during the procurement and no need of euthanasia was required.”

  • Effects of CO2 Pneumoperitoneum on Anastomotic Healing in Rats Receiving Preoperative 5-Fluorouracil Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy. Ulas, Murat, et al.

    Page 414, Materials and Methods.

    Second paragraph, the last sentence should read as follows:

    “The abdomen was swabbed with 10%% providone-iodine solution and a midline incision was made under sterile conditions. Analgesia consisted of the use of Rompun® i.m. (7 mg/kg) on the first postoperative day and as needed. Euthanasia was done with an overdose of Rompun® 30 mg/kg and ketamine (300 mg/kg).”

  • Morphological Changes during Creation of a Neo-Bile Duct Using a Vein and a Biodegradable Endoluminal Stent. Palmes, Daniel, et al.

    Page 436, Materials and Methods, Animals and Study Design.

    Third paragraph, the first sentence should read as follows:

    “All procedures were carried out under intubation anesthesia (nitrous oxide/oxygen == 2:1) and continuous i.v. application of ketanest® (2 mg/kg) and etomidate/hypnomidate® (1.25 mg/kg).”

    Third paragraph, the following sentence should be added before the last sentence:

    “Animals were euthanized by T61 injection (Hoechst Roussel Vet., Weisbaden, Germany).”

    Page 437, Materials and Methods, Surgical Technique.
