This article refers to:

A steroid-cell tumor of the ovary resulting in massive androgen excess early in the gonadol steroidogenic pathway

Gynecological Endocrinology wishes to inform its readers of the following incident of inadvertent redundant publication.

The following publication,

Gynecol Endocrinol. 2008 Sep;24(9):502–4 A steroid-cell tumor of the ovary resulting in massive androgen excess early in the gonadol steroidogenic pathway Stephens JW, Fielding A, Verdaguer R, Freites O [Citation1]

contains substantial overlap with the previously published article,

Gynecol Endocrinol. 2008 Mar;24(3):151–3 A steroid-cell tumor of the ovary resulting in massive androgen excess early in the gonadol steroidogenic pathway Stephens JW, Fielding A, Verdaguer R, Freites O [Citation2]

This occurred because another version of the article [Citation1] was inadvertently included and published in the later Volume 24 Issue 9 due to a production error. The authors and publisher would like to confirm this was a redundant publication and the article version published in Volume 24 Issue 3 [Citation2] should remain the correct version of record.

The publisher of Gynecological Endocrinology regrets this publication error and apologises to the authors and readers.
