Response to the Letter to the Editor entitled: “The P make the difference in the plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) technology”.
We would like to thank Anitua et al., for their comments concerning our recent paper (Lippross et al., Platelets 2011 Apr 7. [Epub ahead of print]). We completely agree about the significance of the acronym PRGF, which should indicate Plasma Rich in Growth Factors, and not Platelet Release Growth Factors. We apologize for this unfortunate coincidence. We will from now on call our platelet preparations Platelet Lysate.
Kind regards,
Mauro Alini, Sebastian Lippross, Sophie Verrier
