Page 427 | Published online: 19 Jul 2013
This article refers to:
Patterns of prescription medication diversion among drug dealers

Rigg, K.K., Kurtz, S.P., & Surratt, H.L. (2012). Patterns of prescription medication diversion among drug dealers. Drugs: Education, Prevention & Policy, 19, 145–155.

Following the publication of this article, the authors would like to make a correction to this sentence in the introduction section on page 146: ‘In fact, in a study that included 80% of all 11th graders in the state of Delaware, over 70% of the sample reported purchasing controlled medications from street dealers (Inciardi et al., 2009b).’

The authors of the cited Inciardi et al. (2009b) study discovered a discrepancy in the numbers they reported and requested a correction be made to their study.

The sentence on page 146 should therefore read as follows:

‘In fact, in a recent study of Delaware 11th graders, among those who reported using prescription drugs illegally (20% of the sample), 45.4% reported dealers as a diversion source they would use.’

The authors and publisher apologize for any confusion.
