Abstract
Case studies on stakeholder involvement in opioid substitution treatment undertaken in six European countries are an excellent example of the tradition of trans-disciplinary research. Fortunately, they seem to come away with the conclusion that, despite the difficulty of walking through mud, as one of the studies puts it, evidence based practices that promote the common good prevail.
