In Critical Reviews in Toxicology 2012; 42: 1–27 for the article “Potential health hazards associated with exposures to asbestos-containing drywall accessory products: A state-of-the-science assessment”, the authors have requested to supplement the declaration of interests with the following in order to prevent any misinterpretations:

Six of the published papers referenced in this article were evaluated by the authors in their capacity as expert witnesses while consulting with Kaiser Gypsum Company Inc. and United Gilsonite Laboratories. Twenty-eight documents cited in the paper were obtained from them through the course of the litigation. The cited published papers are available in the public domain and the others can be provided if requested. These Companies did not fund, direct, authorize or have any involvement in the writing or publishing of the article. These Companies were not aware we were going to write the paper, nor did they see or review the article prior to publication.
