THE AUTHORS

Joanne Neale, D.Phil., is Reader in Qualitative and Mixed Methods Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, UK, and Adjunct Professor in the National Centre in HIV Social research at the University of New South Wales, Australia. She is a senior qualitative editor for the journal Addiction and a member of the editorial board of The International Journal of Drug Policy. Her research and publications span 15 years and focus on illicit drug use, particularly the views and experiences of heroin users, injecting drug users, and homeless drug users.
