This edition of the Journal is packed with a wide array of interesting articles. The first set of papers deal with laser resurfacing and begins with a study a multi-modal fractional CO2 laser resurfacing. This CO2 laser manuscript is followed by 2 different studies looking at Erbium:YAG laser resurfacing in both Caucasian and Asian skin. The last study in this series looks at fractional CO2 laser induced apoptosis.
Treatment of stretch marks remains a difficult task. Suh's study evaluates a unique treatment of striae distensae with a combination of ultrasound and platelet rich plasma. Botulinum toxin injections continue to grow in popularity. With the increasing availability of a variety of toxins, new studies become fascinating. Moers-Carpi describes a randomized, double-blind comparison. Between OnabotulinumtoxinA and IncobotulinumtoxinA in the treatment of glabellar lines. Lee looks at multiple intradermal small bolus injections of botulinum toxins.
