• Melting points are uncorrected and were measured on a Thomas-Hoover capillary melting point apparatus. Infrared spectra were recorded on a Beckman IR-8 spectrophotometer. The par spectra were obtained on a Varian A-60 instrument with TXS as an internal standard. The mass spectra were recorded on a Hitachi RMU-6D singly focusing instrument by Morgan-Schaffer Corp., Montreal, Canada. Satisfactory microanalyses were obtained for all new compounds, performed by A. Bernhardt Laboratories, Elbach, West Germany.
