  • Formation of IIIa was spectrally documented only in reaction between Va and SO2Cl2 performed at −70[ddot] in CH2Cl2 solution. Two main products in the ratio 1:1 were observed: IIIa, δ31p=−17.5 ppm, 1JPSe=514 Hz and bis(dineopentylphosphoranyl)-diselenide, δ31p=−11.4 ppm, 1JPSe=445 Hz. The same data recorded for genuine sample prepared in reaction of IVa with elemental iodine, m.p. 66–67[ddot], M. S. (15 eV): 602 (molion, 10%), 70 (100%). However, increase of the temperature to -40[ddot] caused the disappearance of signal characteristic for IIIa
