- Clear evidence for the formation of Ar+ from ArN2 + by irradiation has not been obtained yet in our experiments. One electron transfer mechanism in the formation of Ar+ from initialy formed Ar by irradiation might be an adequate explanation for our reactions. We are grateful to Prof. T. Sonoda (Kyushu Univ.) for his helpful discussions.

- The yields of Ar-F in AHF-pyridine solutions are better than those with or without using other solvents such as H2O, H2O-KF, 46%-HBF4 etc. 8)
