Journal overview

This journal has ceased (2018).

The Journal of Human Transcriptome is an Open Access, online-only, peer reviewed journal. It is a forum for dissemination of research focused on exploration of genome-wide aspect of transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in human cells and tissues in health and disease. This includes but is not limited to:
• Pervasive transcription, including long non-coding RNAs and microRNAs
• Epigenetic control of transcription
• Application of high-throughput techniques, including next-generation DNA sequencing and microarrays, in exploration of human transcriptome
• The role of transcriptome in the pathomechanism of human diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases
• Comparative transcriptomics
• Single-cell transcriptomics; e.g., within brain tissue
• Functional genomics for identification of genes playing a central role in control of the transcriptome
• Reports on technology developments toward better exploration of global gene expression in human systems
• Systems biology of the human transcriptome

The standard article publishing charge (APC) for this journal is: US$950 / €840 / £730. Depending on your location, these charges may be subject to local taxes.
