Sustainable Development Goals: Forest Engineering
The International Journal of Forest Engineering joins an array of Taylor and Francis journals in celebrating World Earth Day 2023. As a part of World Earth Day 2023 we want to highlight the Sustainable Development Goals, issued by the United Nations, which identify key research areas related to forest engineering that are needed for a sustainable future. Based on the aims and scope of the journal we have chosen to focus on Goals 7, 9, 13 and 15. Please see more information here (reference https://sdgs.un.org/goals): • Goal 7-Affordable and Clean Energy- Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. • Goal 9- Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure- Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. • Goal 13- Climate Action- Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. • Goal 15- Life on Land- Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. The aim of this collection is to produce an innovative and complete group of articles which contribute to the SDGs.
