Transnational Corporations Review (TNCR)is an interdisciplinary journal that focuses on the economic analysis of transnational corporations (TNCs). It publishes refereed articles on foreign direct investment, trade, innovation, and policies associated with TNCs, which cover the economic, institutional, social, and environmental impacts of TNCs. The journal also encourages submissions on international development related to TNCs and issues involving emerging-market multinationals.

Journal Features

TNCR differs from the existing akin journals by exploring issues related to TNCs not only from advanced economies and their exposure to emerging markets, but also from emerging markets and their cross-border activities. It is to build a bridge between knowledge creators (scholars) and knowledge seekers (academics, policy makers, and practitioners). The journal welcomes submissions that have policy implications and generate transferable insights for practitioners. Authors from around the world are encouraged to submit research that includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Conceptual discussions and research that deepen the understanding of issues related to TNCs, which go beyond merely testing current theories but open up new areas.
  • Empirical research using various datasets and rigorous analytical tools to develop insights on issues related to TNCs from advanced economies and emerging market economies.
  • Business and economic analyses of transnational activities taking place in multinationals or integrated with diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and institutional settings.
  • Assessment of the global contexts where multinational firms from each economic bloc create a presence in an international market economy.

TNCR is associated with the Transnational Corporations Council of Studies (TNCCS), a membership-based society that promotes innovative research and best practices related to TNCs. The journal is supported by Zhejiang University's School of Economics and Ottawa United Learning Academy. It is in collaboration with the scholars and experts from world-class institutions, including Harvard University, Columbia University, and Cornell University.

Peer Review Policy

Every article published in TNCR goes through a double-blind peer review process to ensure its quality, validity, and relevance to the journal.
