Soil Science and Plant Nutrition (SSPN) is a peer-reviewed international journal and an official journal of the Japanese Society of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition (JSSSPN) that publishes outstanding original research findings and reviews in soil physics, soil chemistry and soil mineralogy; soil biology; plant nutrition; soil genesis, classification and survey; soil fertility; fertilizers and soil amendments; environment; socio-cultural soil science. The journal publishes full length papers, short papers, and reviews. It is also one of the cooperating journals of the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS).

Papers in any of the following fields will be considered, and authors are requested to designate their manuscript according to one of these divisions on submission:
  1.   Soil physics
  2.   Soil chemistry and soil mineralogy
  3.   Soil biology
  4.   Plant nutrition
  5.   Soil genesis, classification and survey
  6.   Soil fertility
  7.   Fertilizers and soil amendments
  8.   Environment
  9.   Socio cultural soil science

Members and non-members of JSSSPN are encouraged to submit manuscripts for publication. However, non-members will be charged an additional US$100 per accepted article.
