Aims and scope

NRIAG Journal of Astronomy and Geophysics publishes open access research in astronomy, astrophysics and global and regional geophysics.

NRIAG Journal Astronomy and Geophysics is the official journal of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG), Egypt.

The journal aims to publish high-quality original research internationally, and accepts research on the following topics:

  • Cosmology
  • Planetary science
  • Solar-terrestrial physics
  • Structure and dynamics of the Earth
  • Surface expression in plate tectonics
  • Generation of magmas
  • Volcanism and rock formation

The journal is interested in research that puts emphasis on methodological developments and innovative applications of geophysical techniques. Environmental, archaeological, engineering and hydrological problems are also of particular interest.

The journal publishes reports, news, books, software reviews and state of the art surveys. The journal operates a double anonymized peer review policy.
