About this journal

Aims and scope

The Journal of General Psychology is a critically acclaimed international publication that is devoted to research in experimental psychology. Both basic and applied research from a broad variety of research areas is included. Preference is given to manuscripts that appeal to a general audience of researchers in the psychological sciences.

We seek articles that try to investigate the causes of behaviour and mental processes; and although a majority of those studies will be investigations that involve manipulation of an independent variable(s), we are also interested in research that tests models and theories involving complex psychological phenomenon.

Peer Review: All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editors, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is double anonymized, the identity of the reviewers and the authors are not disclosed to either party. Submission is online via ScholarOne Manuscripts.
