Aims and scope

At Current Eye Research we strive to bring together scientists focusing on preclinical research as well as clinical research, as we strongly believe that only together we can efficiently translate new ideas from the laboratory (bench) to the clinic (bedside). The goal of this publication is to not only to share new discoveries in our field, but to also improve patient care in Ophthalmology. Therefore, the aim of Current Eye Research is to provide rapid publication of full papers, short communications and mini-reviews of the highest quality. Articles accepted for publication encompass all areas of eye research. Subject areas include the following: clinical research, mechanism-based research, basic science, pre-clinical translational studies, studies on visual function, anatomy, physiology, biophysics, biochemistry, pharmacology, developmental biology, microbiology and immunology.
