Abstract

We, the Editor and Publisher of World’s Poultry Science Journal, have retracted the following article:

S. Umar, S. Sarfraz, A. Mushtaq & M. Attique ‘Emerging threat of H9N2 viruses in poultry of Pakistan and vaccination strategy’ (2016) 72:2, 343-352 https://doi.org/10.1017/S0043933916000179

The above article has been retracted as, subsequent to publication, significant duplication has been found in content in the ‘Introduction,’ ‘Emergence and evolution of LPAI H9N2,’ ‘Future prospects in AI vaccination,’ and ‘Conclusion’ sections with the following earlier published works:

We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
