Abstract
The Football League industry is currently under strong economic pressure both in its costs and in its revenues. This paper presents a model for estimating the attendance at particular matches and uses this model to suggest where new clubs might be located. It also makes some suggestions about changes in the organization of football clubs which might lead to an improvement in their economic situation.
