Tables for Stock Control — Problems of Formulation and Computation

Abstract

This paper describes the formulation, computation and use of tables for the manual control of stocked items using the reorder level and periodic review systems. The tables provide control levels and average physical stocks which achieve a chosen expected proportion of demand met ex-stock.
